Title: pH
Post by: rraj411 on October 12, 2013, 07:06:06 PM
When 200 ml of 0.1 M of Hcl is mixed with 0.2M H2so4 and this solution is neutralized by 500ml of 0.1M of NaOH. Then find the original pH and find how much volume of NaOHof 0.1 M should be added for complete neutralization?

I tried the problem by taking the number of moles for each of the acid then added them up to get 7/20 moles then I found that the NaOH has lesser OH than H+ in the solutions. So it has to be acidic but the Final answer is not matching  ???

Hard to check anything as you gave no volume of the sulfuric acid.

Have you remembered that sulfuric acid is diprotic?
