Title: Nomenclature-Which one is the longest chain?

NOTE:Cl and OH are not connected in any way to each other, but only to their respective carbons.

If you count C-C connections in any direction, what is the longest number of connections? Remember, atoms float in space and it doesn't matter how they are written on paper. Molecular models could show you this.

I was not thinking what you thought I was thinking. By longest chain me (and my book) meant the carbon chain which is the principle chain used for naming.
