Title: P Chem Lab Help {Iodine clock reaction}
Post by: John John on December 09, 2013, 03:41:52 AM
The project was to run an iodine clock reaction with sodium bisulfite and potassium iodate and find the order of the rate law. we varied temperature and concentrations and measured the reactions time to completion in seconds. I'm unsure of what the next step is or how to determine the rate law, can anyone direct me to a source that could explain this better or explain to me how to find this because i am completely lost here.

Next step is to draw a plot and see what it looks like.

If you were interested in finding the reaction order, why have you varied the temperature? That would only make the data analysis harder. Select all the data points for a single temp and start with them.
