Title: Solid particles in fuel gas line to furnace?

Recently we found out that our fuel gas line to furnace was partially clogged with white solid particles causing ineffective burning at the furnace. Lab analysis on the solid particles indicates that major component is chloride. The fuel gas line is actually combination of few streams (natural gas and offgas from process). Anyone had the same problem before? Or any idea of the solid chloride particles was formed?

this kind of gases are made from various chlorinated chemicals... some soil organisms breakdown them into solid chloride particles...
