is there molecular movement in a glass tubing with both ends covered with cotton. one is soaked with ammonia and the other with HCL?

Molecules in fluid are in random continuous motion. By diffusion, NH3 and HCl gas will meet at each other, and will react to form a white precipitate NH4Cl which appears as white layer in the glass tubing between the 2 cottons.
