Post by: parwezali on April 11, 2014, 02:50:36 PM
Hi all
Please some one help me solving this problem it is very difficult for me it is about spectroscopy, i couldn't solve it
here is the question
what is the compound structure for this IR& NMR data

IR: 3450, 3380, 3330, 3110, 2950,2225, 1720, 1640, 1600, 1270, 1250, 1240, 850, 760. cm-1

NMR: 7.4(m, 4H) , 4.3(t, 1H) , 4.1(t, 2H) , 3.7(s, 1H) , 3.5(s, 2H) , 3.1(t, 2H) , 2.95(t, 2H) 2.6(q, 2H).chemical shift

Please don't abuse formatting, making your post large doesn't help at all.

Well, no one will just tell you.  Its against forum rules and feels too much like doing someones homework for them.  We can help you along though if you show initiative on your part.
So, lets start with the IR.  Look at a good IR table and try to assign the various peaks to a given functionality.  Post what you find and we will go from there!
