Hi! Can anybody help me with this calculation?
What is the pH of a mixture of 50ml of 0.1M HCl and 30ml of 0.1M NaOH?
-
Hint: convert everything in moles and, then, focus on H+ and OH-
-
To add to Albert post: start with reaction equation. This is limiting reagent question.
-
Keep in mind: Ph = Pk + C of Salt / C of Acid.
k = The constand dissension of the acid
C = the consentration
This is completely of no use, as NaOH is strong base nad HCl is strong acid.
