Title: Preservative/antioxidant for ascorbic acid solution (does not have to be edible)
Post by: samj4 on May 15, 2014, 02:45:08 AM
Hi everyone, fairly new here but this looks like a great forum!

My question is about how to preserve an ascorbic acid solution. I have done a bunch of research and so far have only been able to find preservatives that are used in food such as sodium metabisulphite and sulphur dioxide. My question is: are there stronger antioxidants that are not necessarily food safe. I only have a high school level of chemistry so please forgive me if there is some well known group of antioxidants.
