Title: Ligand Characterization
Post by: Che_Miss_try on May 16, 2014, 12:43:01 PM
I am trying to purify and characterize a novel product in methanol.  I am a non thesis masters student in a lab with minimal resources.  I have been able to characterize the product through NMR after some crystal formation but the product is soluble in everything and I can not remove the impurities.  My adviser wants me to figure out how to create a salt precipitate.  I have tried to acidify the product out of solution with no luck.

Any suggestions on how I can purify or precipitate my product? Organic is not my strong suit so any topics that I can further research would be a great help.  Thank you.
