Title: Sodium Bicarbonate speeds Cyanoacrylate cure time, but does it weaken it?
Post by: yesnomaybe on June 26, 2014, 10:30:48 PM
As many of you are likely aware, adding baking soda to freshly applied cyanoacrylate (super glue) creates an exothermic reaction, and causes the cyanoacrylate to cure nearly instantly.

My question is whether or not this process ultimately weakens the cyanoacrylate?
