Title: Gold nanoparticles in aqueous solution
Post by: MangoPlant on July 12, 2014, 06:37:29 PM
If I were to place a drop of an aqueous solution of gold nanoparticles on a metal surface and wait for the water to evaporate, do you think the gold nanoparticles would clump up or would they remain solid nanoparticles on the metal surface?

Depends on concentration for sure. If they were coated with PEG, they would probably keep their distance from each other.
