Title: interesting suggestions about unique labs

Hello,
I'm currently in a student initiated chemistry laboratory course in university, and we are to suggest another topic for study, appropriate for the undergrad level, and the time restraints (ie 3-6 hours).  If anyone has interesting suggestions about unique labs that would be suitable for this purpose, that would be most appreciated.  
Links, or suggestions as to where to look for lab suggestions are also welcome.

Read through the journal of chemical education. You'll find something appropriate.

Have you done anything with ferrocene?  If not, they you could try the synthesis of ferrocene.  Here's a paper that might be useful:
