Do any of you have recommendations for books about the personal experiences of famous chemists?
I'm looking for something similar in style to Feynman's two personal books, but about a chemist, of course.
I've searched here and on Google with no results.
Thanks.

Although he's gone somewhat BSI* since he won his Nobel, Dancing Naked in the Mind Field by Kary Mullis probably fits the bill.

Not exactly about a chemist, but Uncle Tungsten comes to mind.

Great, I just ordered it and one of the ones mentioned above (used and cheap!).
Thank you for the suggestion.

I don't remember how many of them are "famous", but "African American Women Chemists" http://www.amazon.com/African-American-Women-Chemists-Jeannette/dp/019974288X
I'm not a woman or African American but I found the book very interesting.

There was a journal that published interviews with well known chemists, called The Chemical Intelligencer. http://www.worldcat.org/title/chemical-intelligencer/oclc/32277687

That looks interesting.
I found another book over the summer to add to the list: The Periodic Table by Primo Levi. I don't know how I missed it for so long as Levi's works are quite popular.
