Hello!
i have encountered a few product in which the pH was measured using special procedure. The pH was measured by taking the percentage of the solution in IPA:DI. eg; 5% of solution A in 1:1 water/ipa. however, i have no idea why this method was used.
so, can anybody please explain or enlighten me regarding this matter.
Thank You

Most likely it is not possible to measure pH directly for some reason. IPA presence suggests low solubility of the substance in pure water.
Please note that it is a tricky approach - generally speaking pH is defined ONLY for water solutions.
