Title: Sodium Glucoheptonate
Post by: Geoff on July 21, 2004, 11:20:36 AM
I've heard that sodium glucoheptonate can be made by reacting sodium cyanide with dextrose or corn syrup (mostly fructose) in water.

Does anyone have any details on stoich, reaction conditions, yields, etc?
