Title: vinegar battery with salt
Post by: dummy on October 25, 2014, 08:26:37 AM
I wanted to make an electrochemical battery with vinegar, and two different metals (eg. copper and zinc). I wondered whether it's dangerous to add salt (NaCl) to the vinegar solution, because possibly chlorine gas could be formed ?

Go ahead no problem. If you prepare your Salad you also add salt and vinegar for dressing. Never chlorine gas was obtained.
