Title: Review of Element 115 decay chains
Post by: Dan1195 on November 09, 2014, 03:13:50 PM
I know that GSI is currently reviewing some of the data obtained in the recent Element 115 and 117 experiments. Specifically, all shorter chains terminating in SF of Element 111 (Rg). With previous Dubna studies, all such reported shorter chains have been assigned to the 293117>289115>285113>281Rg chain with SF activities assigned to 281Rg.

The question is are all those actually 293117 or 289115 chains or are some them actually 294117 (or 288115 chains in the 243Am+48Ca reaction given that the 1n reaction channel is unlikely here) ending in Electron capture (EC) decay of the odd-odd nucleus.
