Title: Deet
Post by: 123 on August 03, 2015, 04:11:56 PM
Hi All,

If this question is inappropriate or irrelevant to your forums - feel free to ignore/delete.

What could the insect repellent DEET be diluted with? (spraying yourself from an original repellent bottle)

The reason for asking is I have two out of date bottles that I would like to refill @ 20%.

A bottle of 'ready to use' costs the same if I buy 20% or ~95%

The ingredients list deet(20%) and 'taste aversive agent'.

Could IPA or lab water be used to dilute the high strength 'over the counter UK' to create a 20%?

For short term use (<3 weeks in 52)

Also, can I dilute my cars petrol with 50% grey water and achieve a more efficient combustion?

Thanks in advance.
