Hi all, I'm new to the forums and very thankful for them. I hate when I can't find a simple formula online or in my books.
Well here goes it.
If the transmittance is 92 percent and a photo cell with a 12-mm
path length was used, what is the absorptivity?

Be careful with your choice of words. Absorbtivity and absorbance don't necessarily mean the same thing. I'm assuming you are referring to the latter. In which case, use the Beer-Lambert law.
