Title: Determining HA hydrolysis via dye-binding assay

I have a protein that I am reasonably sure hydrolyzes hyaluronic acid, and I'm trying to design an experiment to test that.

I was told that a dye binding plate assay where clear zones will indicate hydrolysis may be a good starting point. Could I effectively utilize that in this situation?
