Title: Plugging lab mate's site
Post by: gregpawin on August 04, 2004, 05:13:13 AM
I just have to plug my lab mate's site, Kin Wong at http://www.mynano.info (http://www.mynano.info).  Its a really clean looking site that explains a few of his past projects, like clusters, and his current one--STM research on organo-thiols on copper surfaces, which is what I'm working on too.

He explains things very well including the interesting relationship between a metal's work function and ionization potenial.  To remove an electron from a chunk of electron is called its work function but to remove one from one atom of the metal is called its ionization potential, but what about chunks of metal that are in between in size?

Its a short but informative site.
