So this is way out of left field but im getting a black dog and I want to name him something sciencey. Any suggestions?

I can see in my minds eye someone calling their dog.
Here soot, see soot run, run soot run.
from
Here spot, see spot run, run spot run.
I can not seem to visualize graphite or charcoal.
Here are some other ones from the periodic table or compounds inspired by periodic table..
Not necessarily color based.
W wolfram (Tungsten)
Pu Plutonium (Mickey's dog)
MnO2 Manganese dioxide (black compound)
Hg Mercury (if it is a fast runner)
B Boron (Black)
C Carbon (Black)
K Potassium (K 19) (K one nine)

Haha. Difficult to think of something that I'd want to shout across a park.
How about Obsidian or Onyx? Geology rather than chemistry, but a similar idea.
-
How about Di - short for Di-pole?
Or go for a famous scientist.. such as Mendel - short for Mendeleev? Or Einstien (too popular), Curie, Tom or Thom (for Thompson), Niels or Bohr? Or Dyson, Shrodinger, Darwin or Dawkins?
Or call it 'Sep'. for 'spooky entangled particles' or something like that.
Or Alice... after the LHC?

Laika - First dog in space
I know it's not really a chemistry name :)
