Anyone else observing missing peaks if radicals are present in crude proton nmr spectra, for example?

methylene dioxy aryl singlet --> doublet of doublets with a J value of 1 Hz, so maybe this is just a RO-CHD-RO peak?  I suspect radicals because I was working with this (http://www.sigmaaldrich.com/content/dam/sigma-aldrich/structure8/120/mfcd00005829.eps/_jcr_content/renditions/mfcd00005829-medium.png)
