Title: The Aroma of Books

I thought this was an interesting find. Fun to find out where all of the various smells of old and new books come from.

This is one reason I don't want physical books to go away.

Nice to see benzaldehyde come up, as far as claimed odours of nuts or fruits go, it's the most convincing example I know.

I have a liter bottle of it in my lab, and just opening it fills the room with the smell of marzipan.

Fair point, but I quite deliberately don't leave cyanide lying around...
