Title: Mono ethanolamine + EDTA diamonium salt
Post by: deus1980 on July 26, 2016, 06:55:57 AM
Hello All,
I would like to ask if anyone know what reaction I will get between those two (Mono ethanolamine and Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid diammonium salt) in aqueous system in low concentration (aprox 2%)
I use both of them in cleaning solution which should clean dried ink and other contamination which you can find in inkjet cartridges in process of re-manufacture.

Any idea? I can't find nothing about it in google.
EdTA with MEA reacts with huge amonia like smell and I'm sure that they interact instantly in room temperature. But what do I get from that reaction?

I will be gratefull for any suggestions.
Many thanks

There is not much reaction. Propably the Amin-Group replace the ammonia in the salt, what indicate the smell.
