This is amazing. How this got by the editors, I don't know.

ROFLMAO ;D
Reminds me of a joke I made with the user Budullewraagh (hey where the hell you been man, not seen you on MSN for ages)
About nucleophillic substitution, its perverted, as the nucleophile sneaks up and attacks from the backside.

Seems like a silly request to me. That's actually a legitimate paper, just the title picture was funny. Oh well. Do you remember... wasn't there a paper in JACS a while back about some NMR "P.E.N.I.S." experiment (Polarization Enhanced Nuclear Inversion Spectroscopy)? That was legit, too, although also rather amusing in subject. These things do 'pop up' from time to time, and though they are funny, they are actually legit new science, which is why I placed it here rather than the humor forum where we get e-mail forwards and other things. I put the 'porn' title on it to catch people's eye. :)

somehow the fact that the chemical reaction is reversible just makes it so much more funny to me :)

The equilibrium will be disrupted when it gets too hot. ROFL

That was like the third most downloaded Inorg. Chem. paper last year. Chemists are sickos!
-
what do you call it when the ring-shaped structure has sulfur attatch to it? anyone anyone...

Inorganic chemists are sick, not all chemists. LOL.

it has sulfurous, haha, like syphilus, it's a play on words.

Never give free hands for those who do organic synthesis.

I emailed this thread to my organic chemistry lecturers. I wonder how they are going to respond.

A prof of ours had a drawing similar to that drawn on the blackboard before we arrived at class. Half the students spent the lecture attempting to name it.
