Title: Reference making to books and webpages
Post by: mir on May 23, 2006, 08:35:58 AM
Is it allowed to make a reference to several pages by mention the book once in the reference list, and make a little note by the side of the referencenumber in the text - in what page you found the information? Like this:

In the text:

Inductive effects is a permanent polarization in the molecules ground state. It is manifistated as an dipole moment (1, pp 367-368)

List of references:

(1) Carrol, Felix A. 1998, "Perspectives on structure and mechanism in organic chemistry", Brooks/Cole Publishing Company

btw...

How do you make a reference to a webpage?
And how do you write the referncenumbers in html-tags? is there a html-tag that is called <reference>?

i think you use the last name of the author in the in-text citation, but that is how you do it. check out MLA's website for more information.

You need to include webmaster name, title, http://reference and date accessed.
