Post by: mudman890 on December 13, 2016, 10:23:01 AM
What would be the the chemical reaction equation for smoking marijuana , and/or smoking cigarettes.
what are the by products? what is the chemical makeup of the left over ash?

Both marijuana and tobacco are highly complicated mixtures of thousands of compounds, so there is no single reaction - rather thousands of them.

but there has to be somewhat of a constant as far as byproducts go. im assuming most of the variations in the compound are what gets lost in the smoke. What is that ash residue afterwards made up of???

Google for "incomplete combustion products" and "ash composition".

Most organic materials are very similar.
