1. carbene will form, but I am confused with exact product
2. [2+4] cycloaddition probably but what's the  correct orientation
3. only the mechanism part, I knew it's theory

yes, i had seen that but I'm not sure about mechanism with CuCN. can you tell what does 1/2 equivalent signifies

This is probably optimized amount (or default amount use by authors) of catalyst.
