I’ve stupidly put glue rather than lubricant (the two tubes got muddled!) on the zips of two expensive drysuits and only realised days later. The tube says it’s a methyl / ethyl / ketone glue. 30–50% ethyl acetate, 8–16% acetone, 12–22% butanone, 8–18% methyl acetate, 12–18% polyurethane.
Please can you help?! Any suggestions on how best to sort this?
Thank you!!!

acetone is a solvent used in many glues and is also in nail polish remover.
-
Yea - so you might be lucky and be able to use acetone to remove the set glue by dissolving it up again.
-
Did the acetone work? Did you manage to get out of the gimp suit?
-
Well this doesn't sound good at all - no response.. I'm just waiting for the news headlines to read "man found suffocated by fumes from nail varnish remover whilst trying to escape from bondage suit". A tragic state of affairs indeed. :(

Why do you assume OP was still inside?

Being honest Borek it was an attempt at humour.
You are the first person to actually talk to me or respond to one of my posts for a long time (apart from the odd comment, but the convo's dry up after post or 2 and I am left feeling that I have wasted my time posting). I was partly thinking about not bothering to come here anymore - but I like reading some of the questions and if I feel I can answer or add anything then I post.
It is not uncommon in my experience here to answer a question like the one in the OP and get absolutely no response back from them in the way of further questions or a thank you for trying to help. I posted what I did in an attempt to be funny. idk why but I find gimp suits funny.. I have never owned one and do not see the appeal - maybe I am missing something. lol.

Somehow it never occurred to me to mix gimp suit with a dry suit. Perhaps because I have dealt with latter only ;)

lol - yea, as I said, it was an attempt at humour rather than a serious mishap.
Doesn't look like the OP is coming back.... he's either fixed his problem or asphyxiated in his gimp suit somewhere. ;-)
