June 5th will mark the 11th anniversary of the first "true" Bose-Einstein condensate formation, which took place at JILA.
It should be noted that in 1938, a team condensed Helium-4 atoms into a superfluid state, but this aggregation is not considered to be a Bose-Einstein Condensate (according to Theory).
