Title: MO-theory/conjugated double bonds
Post by: Lourdes on April 18, 2017, 01:40:16 PM
Hey guys  ;)
I was wondering how the MO-theory explains conjugated double bonds. I know that the MO-theory describes how atomic orbitals come together to create a molecular orbital. I am also familiar with the p-orbitals that stand vertically (e.g. ethene) and form a pi bond, but what does this have to do with the MO-theory?
Thank you for your help.
