Title: Are Insignificant Resonance Structures "Major resonance contributors"?
Post by: stopkillingme21 on September 04, 2017, 02:40:32 PM
Title says it all. I'm working on a worksheet that has the following prompt: "Draw, using curved arrow notation, all of the major resonance contributors of the following species."

I don't see a bright line between minor forms that are significant versus minor forms that are insignificant.  If you are trying to complete an assignment, perhaps you could indicate that a particular resonance form is minor.
