Title: Chemistry Books
Post by: pizza1512 on June 17, 2006, 03:13:58 PM
I am getting really, really bored at school as we haven't learnt anything in the last 1.5 months.

Could anyone out there suggests a list of chemistry books that I could start reading that are fascinating and at the same time relevant to education in school?

Thx

Well I find the stuff in Organic Chemistry by Clayden, Greeves, Warren and Wothers really fascinating and it'll get you really into chemistry, but it won't be that relevant to GCSE chemistry (assuming you're from Bristol, UK), but it may help with AS and A-Level chem. I found the CGP revision books good for GCSE. Try Amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/index=books-uk&field-keywords=chemistry GCSE/ref=xs_ap_l_xgl/026-7848715-7288435) for books relevant to your syllabus, and look for good reviews.
