Title: From Papaverine to Papaverine HCL
Post by: MarkYP on June 28, 2018, 05:13:20 PM
I have some Papaverine(salt form, C20H21NO4) that I would like to turn into Papaverine Hydrochloride(C20H22ClNO4)  by using Hydrochloric acid.

How would this be done in practise in terms of amount of Papaverine and amount of Hydrochloric acid(diluted to approx. 35% with distilled water), and what process would be used to do the reaction?

I.e I would like to transform this Papaverine powder into Papaverine Hydrochloride powder.

Best regards,

Mark
