Title: Acrylic vs glass burette
Post by: pcm81 on July 22, 2018, 02:51:06 PM
I have an acylic burette with ptfe stopcock. What materials is it not compatible with and i should use borosilicate glass in its stead?
Most things i am working with now are acids, bases and KMnO4. Anything specific i need to keep an eye on to make sure not to use this burette?

I would not use permanganate in plastic equipment.

A borosilicate glass burette is more resistant than acrylic laboratory equipment
