Title: K2CO3 and NaCl Seperation
Post by: onurtosun on July 23, 2018, 07:48:24 AM
Hello,

I have a water solution of potassium carbonate and sodium chloride salts. I would like to seperate each other and re-use potassium carbonate. Is there any effective way to seperate them?
Thanks for your helps..

Check soloubilities of NaCl, KCl, Na2CO3 and K2CO3. Probably freezing out. Check Solvay process for Soda.

What sort of levels of each do you have (is this mostly one or the other)?

Potassium carbonate amount is much higher. In 1000 ml solution nearly 150 g potassium carbonate and 20 g sodium chloride.
