Title: How to get gallium?
Post by: olekExE on September 28, 2018, 04:34:42 PM
Is there any way of seperating gallium from galinstan? And if there isn't is there another way of getting gallium?

This will be difficult. Probably dissolve in nitric acid, seperate the tin dioxide. Figure out to seperate indium from gallium  and do an electrolysis later on.,

I bought some recently off an amateur chemist from another website forum I go to. It worked out a tiny bit more than from Amazon with the delivery from the US. Amazon does seem to be the cheapest place I can find for it as Enthalpy suggests above - has to be cheaper than making it.
