Title: How to identify redox states using FTIR difference spectroscopy
Post by: tezzapot on November 18, 2018, 04:16:07 PM
I've been assigned coursework on identifying redox states in proteins using FTIR difference spectroscopy. I've found a paper with an example of the binuclear centre in cytochrome c oxidase bound to CN but they don't explain how they assigned which peaks to the reduced and oxidised forms.

What chemical species might affect the distribution of the forms of the oxidase?
