Title: photometric determination of urea

hi everybody

i was hoping somebody could help me with my anaysis. I wanna to a photometric determination of urea. i found a paper, they were working with 4-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde which reacets with urea to a colored compoud. the absorbation maximumist 425nm. They were also using trichloroacetic and I don't know why or what its good for. I already did some research, but i couldnt find an answer. I was hoping if somebody could tell me what it is good for and whether i could substitute it oder leave it out !

It  is a special method to dertermine urea in milk, blood and urine. The TCA is used to precipitate proteine, which disturbes the reaction.

Thank you! So I can just leave the tca out? because I do not have any proteins in my sample and you do have proteins in milk or blood or urine
