Title: How and why does CVD do this?
Post by: maverick1996 on December 14, 2018, 10:21:19 AM
Hey guys,

I'm using cvd to deposit Cu2O onto FTO glass. I have a basic understanding as to how cvd works, but I can't explain certain things. For example, I'm using a Cu(acac) precursor and I'm getting different oxidation states of Cu on the substrate. For lower temperatures I'm getting Cu metal, as I increase the temperature I get Cu2O and increasing even more I get CuO.

Can somebody help me explain why the oxidation states are changing with increasing temperature?

Thanks
