Title: Can this call oxidation?

I am just wondering the cycloaliphatic phthalic anhydride become biacid after absoring the water. Can this be called as oxidation? If not, please help me explain why?

It is fairly easy to assign oxidation numbers to carbon atoms.  See what you get.
