Hi everyone, I'm having some trouble completing my lab and would love any help you can offer on these questions.
Thanks!
1. Both water and carbon dioxide are tri-atomic molecules. Both contain polar bonds. Explain why one molecule is polar and the other molecule is nonpolar
2. For the noble gas electron configuration, 2 electrons completely fill hydrogen's outer shell while the outer shells of the other elements can hold 8. Why?
Molecular shape name of
CH3OH (C Central, O central)
H2CO (C Central)
Thanks again!

The forum policy is that you must show work to receive help. Why don't you start with where exactly you are having trouble.
