Title: which cell diagram represents a galvanic cell
Post by: helenee on April 15, 2019, 05:58:44 AM
Which of the following cell diagrams represents a galvanic cell?

I hope this isn't too dumb a question to ask, but really, aren't all galvanic cell chemical reactions written in this format (except perhaps E, since the first and last ones must be solids)? I'm not quite sure how to differentiate between the choices to arrive at the correct answer.

Also here again setup of a standard hydrogen electrode. If you know this then you can erase at least 3 answers?

What is the difference between a galvanic cell and an electrolytic cell? Which of the options might belong to each class?
