Title: Chemicals that increase body temperature?
Post by: ClaraDean1 on May 06, 2019, 03:48:30 PM
I'm a teacher, working on a research project in which my challenge is to identify non-toxic elements or chemical compounds that could increase body temperature in humans by up to 1 degree F over a prolonged period (e.g. 8 hours or more) without also increasing heart rate.

Thanks in advance for any ideas that you can share.

Heated humified pure oxygen will work for a couple of hours. Your best bet to get to 8 hours is to consume a large Thanksgiving-style meal and repeat as necessary.

Ethanol would work for a couple of hours depending on dose.
