Reaction of glycidol with fluoride anion

Glycidol reacts with Cl- or Br- in aqueous/organic acidic solution to give 3-monochloropropanediol and 3-monobromopropanediol, respectively. There are several official methods of analysis for glycidol (AOAC, AOCS, ISO) which employ this reaction.

Would F- (fluoride anion) react in the same fashion with glycidol to give 3-monofluoropropanediol?

Yes, potassium hydrogenfluoride in ethylenglycol works, you need heat also

I am not sure if this gives you the 1-fluoro or 2-fluro derivative, or a mixture. Probably mainly the 2-fluoro since acidic conditions are used.
