Solubility of gas well condensate in methanol/water mixtures?
« on: August 24, 2008, 11:02:05 AM »
Does the solubility of condensate/hydrocarbon increase or decrease in water as the methanol concentration increases? I think it should increase but I am not sure.

Hello bobolink1356,

Good question! Unfortunately, a complicated answer.

Some hydrocarbons are dispersible in condensate/hydrocarbons and some precipitate upon exposure to methanol.

I hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Eugene
