lithium iron phosphate - LiFePO4 synthesis
« on: May 04, 2009, 09:52:29 PM »
I would like to synthesize LiFePO4 for a small lithium battery (just as a curiosity project)

How hard is it to actually synthesize this and what reagents are ideal? (i.e., something like Li2O and FePO4 ground together and sintered @ 700 C ?)

Thanks!

In case, Li3PO4 and Fe3(PO4)2.
