Not sure where to ask this question.
« on: January 27, 2012, 10:15:06 PM »
Hey guys,
For my lab reports i need to research where the reactions perform in lab are used in real life, then explain why they are important. I've been searching for a while and couldn't really find anything. Well actually I found out the oxidation of alcohols reactions occur in humans in the liver. I wanted to know if oxidation of alcohols reactions are used in any industries. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you thought of anything having to do with fuels?

Also, if you're looking for real world applications of chemistry, check out automotive catalytic exhaust converters. Most american adults use them every day.
I've been studying chemistry for a few months online. I'm here to learn new things, and share what I've already learned.
