relationship between refractive index, permeativity of the medium and frequency

Hi
I would like to know whether following relationships are true
n̂2 =με̂ for any medium
If medium is non-magnetic (μ=1)
n̂2 =ε̂
ε̂=εʹ- iεʺ
Where
εʹ=n2- k2
εʺ=2nk
ε̂= n2- k2-i2nk
If medium is non-absorbing
ε̂=n2
Thanks for your feed back

You didn't want the permeability to be complex? Often more lossy than the permittivity, if µ is not 1.
